Summer means fun, especially for the SunLit Surf sponsored Greater Princeton Minor League Braves.

The Braves have had a wonderful season, winning 11 of their first 13 games, according to parent Amy Smith, who provided these photographs.

Positions played include pitcher/shortstop Jason Weitzel, first base Brandon Calfee, pitcher/catcher Hunter Moses, second base Zachary Spade, pitcher/catcher Bubba Wilborn, center field Beau Smith, third base Nicholas Franks, left field Na-quan Gardner, and right field John Hilderbrand.

The team is schooled by head coach Danny Weitzel, assistant coach Corbett Calfee, and pitching coach Dean Moses.

Smith said if other area youngsters are like her's they will have busy summers.

"There is so much going on, it is ridiculous," she said. Some of Smith's planned activities include sleep away camp at the Bluestone Conference Center, basketball camp, basketball at the recreation center, family camping, swimming, boating, and of course baseball, including attending a few minor league games.

Nobody should be bored. If you don't have enough to do, consider local festival, libraries, shopping malls, parks, movies, walks, electronic games, music, and your own backyard, as places to look for fun.
