Mild weather It was so warm the first weekend of January 2005 that these young men took to the front walk to do their homework. The statistics haven't been tallied but SunLit Surf staffers are suggesting this has been one of the mildest winters on record for the region. With the exception of a short brutal cold snap in late December, the region has enjoyed daily temperatures as high at 50 and sometimes 60 degrees. We're sure the weather has been a hardship for the ski industry and many of us look forward to a return to more traditional winter weather patterns including some snow.
